Entegra Roof Tile Builds New Plant in Okeechobee, FL Adding Capacity to Satisfy the Growing Market Demand for Concrete Roof Tile

Stuart, FL.  Due to significant sales increases in recent years and aggressive growth targets in the future, Entegra Roof Tile Corporation – Okeechobee, has announced a new plant opening in Okeechobee, FL in the spring of 2006. The new plant comes after two years of intense tile shortages due to hurricanes and a prolonged housing boom.

The Okeechobee location is slated to add 750,000 squares of additional capacity to the Florida roof tile market on an annual basis, bringing Entegra's total capacity to over 1.1 million squares. The plant will create jobs for 39 employees and will produce tile on two manufacturing lines. The first line completed will produce the top colors of Entegra’s popular Estate profile. The remaining Estate colors will be produced at Entegra's sister companies at their Indiantown and Pompano plants.

"We are excited about the new plant and its capability to support the market demand," said Craig Dallas, General Manager of Sales and Marketing of Entegra Sales, Inc.. Dallas went on to say that "providing additional product will reduce the current backlog in the industry and allow us to keep our business moving forward."

Entegra has plans to add the second production line at Okeechobee in the fall of 2006. This line will be producing flat and high profile products. The Miami facility will continue to produce its niche products for the Southeastern Florida markets.

Brad Segal, President of Bradco Supply, Florida’s largest roofing distributor responded by saying “we are very excited that Entegra has made the commitment to add capacity as this will allow Bradco to better service our custom and re-roof contractors. These segments, in many cases, are waiting up to one year for roof tile delivery. We look forward to our long term relationship with Entegra.”

Bill Tamayo, President of Suncoast Distributors added “With concrete tile in such tight supply, Entegra Roof Tile has distinguished itself as an ethical and reliable supplier.  With the new Okeechobee plant, Entegra which is a distributor friendly supplier, will double it’s capacity.  We can’t wait!”

Domingo Monzon from Mediterranean Roof Tile of Miami commented that "with Entegra's new roof tile plant, we will be able to provide more tile to our customers.  This will help Florida roofers catch up on new construction and re-roof projects as roof tiles have been in short supply for the last two years.  We look forward to working with Entegra to bring this much needed tile to the marketplace."

We at Entegra look forward to growing with our customer base in the months to come.  The Okeechobee plant will be the most centrally located roof tile plant in the state of Florida and will be able to provide consistent supply.

Entegra is a manufacturer of concrete roof tile in Florida, with separate locations in Indiantown, Pompano, Miami and Okeechobee. Entegra produces four profiles in an array of colors to suit virtually any roofscape within the custom, tract, commercial and re-roof markets.
